Fruit of the Spirit: Gentleness

So this week, my pastor preached on go to verses, he did this really cool metaphor, which I wanted to share. Although I apologize, I'm not the best with words, and brain is fried from all the exams and projects ;_; I'll try my best though, cause I thought it was really cool.

Ok, so let's say I'm holding onto a cup filled with water, and I tripped over.
What will spill out of the cup?

Likewise, in time of stress, when you are tripped up, what spills out?


I don't know, that hit me really hard. This past two months have been hectic, and I haven't really been leaning on God.  I would burst out in anger, or throw silent tantrums. I was super frustrated with all the work that I was doing, and yet still got so much more to do. It wasn't Jesus to , my first resort wasn't to get on my knees and pray, and even when I did pray, I found that I was tripped up for words. I just, didn't know how to pray. So this week's sermon about meditation on verses resonated with me. Using verses to pray, meditating on the verses will help us sense the Spirit there, always holding on to us, and comforting us.
